For amateurs and enthusiasts, and even astronomy professionals, the telescope is indeed a tool that will be essential to them. The market leading brand today is the Sky-Watcher telescope.
For the record, the Skywatcher brand was founded in 1999. It specializes in the manufacture of telescopes as well as astronomical telescopes, which are aimed at astronomy enthusiasts. David Shen is the founder of the brand, he was a polishing technician working in a research institute in Taiwan. One summer evening, while working in observation, he managed to observe Saturn, the planet, with a telescope he had installed on the hood of his car. It has become a dream for him, his goal being to provide observing instruments to the public, which is accessible to everyone in terms of price.
Currently, Sky-Watcher telescopes are available worldwide. The models offered by the brand are highly innovative, offering unparalleled performance.

What are the best models of the Sky-Watcher brand?
The Skywatcher Telescope AC 70/700
This is a general-purpose telescope model, featuring an AZ2 azimuth mount. It is intended primarily for beginners who are getting into the field of astronomy. It is equipped with a compact bezel, which allows to benefit from a well accentuated contrast through its luminosity. As a result, it is possible to observe with all the details the shades and the different colors on the planets. It has a diameter of 70mm and a focal length of 700mm.
The Skywatcher Telescope AC 90/900
The Skywatcher Telescope N 130/900
This telescope is easy to use, it is suitable for the whole family and also for beginners. It offers an equatorial mount. It is equipped with a diameter of 130 mm, with an aperture of F/6.9. The image quality is there, as well as the brightness to perfectly observe the stars, nebulae and galaxies.
It offers excellent maneuverability, the design is elegant and allows you to benefit from an excellent grip. It is also robust and will survive without problems for years.
The Skywatcher Telescope N 150/750
This is also a general-purpose telescope model. It is intended for enthusiasts, but can also be suitable for those who are new to the field of astronomy. What sets it apart from other models is its price, which makes it accessible to everyone.
It has an azimuth movement, as well as a movement in fine latitudes. Station setting, thanks to its characteristics, promises easiest station setting. In addition, the telescope tripod is already mounted in advance, which is very practical for its use. And of course, the manufacturing quality is there.
The Skywatcher Telescope N 200/1000
This is a model that stands out particularly for its great quality. It is recommended for those who wish to observe the sky in depth. The quality of the image is perfectly clear, thanks to its 200 mm aperture, the observation is perfectly detailed. It will be easy to distinguish the spiral arms of galaxies, as well as other clusters and nebulae.
The device also incorporates an optical system, offering contrasts that will be perfectly maintained, thanks to its secondary mirror.
How to use a Sky-Watcher telescope?
For beginners, using a telescope is not immediately obvious. You have to admit, it’s not easy. You have to go step by step, the first thing to do is to unpack the telescope.
We start by setting up the tripod. You must already unlock the extensions by loosening the locking screws, then you will have to pull the extensions on each foot. The tripod must be installed in the correct direction, it must be ensured that the legs are pointing downwards. And finally, you will pull and tighten the screws to lock.
In the second step, it’s time to place the mount on the tripod base. The pin must be well placed between the two adjustment screws, and you tighten very hard.
Then you can mount your instrument. We start by screwing the counterweight bar into the mount. You will find it on the other side of the declination axis. It is necessary to screw the lock nut, and bring it to rest on the frame. Thereafter, you must unscrew the stopper at the end of the bar, and slide the counterweight halfway. You end up screwing in the locking screw and again also screwing in the stopper at the end of the bar.
Once these first three steps have been completed, we move on to installing the motion wheels. The end of the hoses will be placed at the end of the screws and then you have to tighten everything. The dovetail will be fixed also, the screw of firmly must be well tightened.
And finally, it’s time to take the optical tube out of the packaging. The collars present on the dovetail must be fixed, screws are provided in principle to do this.
You can remove the protective paper around the tube, before determining the center of gravity of the tube. You can then install it between the collars before enclosing them.
The last step is to assemble the finder. You have to take it and insert the support in the mounted base, at the level of the optical tube. Then tighten the locking screw.
Now place the ring in the throat at the level of the seeker’s body. The finder body adjustment screw must be loosened before you can insert the finder body into it. And then finally, you proceed to mount the eyepiece, at the level of the focuser.
